A COCK & BULL STORY
Michael Winterbottom’s interpretation of Lawrence Sterne’s book Tristram Shandy is a great attempt at transferring to the screen what has often been dubbed an unfilmable novel and largely succeeds if you have either read the book or are familiar with the inside jokes referenced within the film.
It does it by framing a modern-day film crew’s attempt at filming the book as a costume drama. Jeremy plays the harassed director of the film.
