Written and directed by Academy Award winner Christopher Hampton and starring Emma Thompson and Jonathan Pryce, Carrington is an emotionally complex and moving tale of a lifelong love with unorthodox compromises, which is utterly enthralling entertainment.

Amid the trendy, bohemian scene of London’s famed Bloomsbury group, Dora Carrington, a talented young artist, first meets bon vivant and writer Lytton Strachey. The two creative souls are instantly attracted, although Strachey’s desires clearly lie elsewhere. The unlikely pair joyously spend colourful days pursuing their arts – and discovering that love works in mysterious ways. But their blissful existence hangs in the balance when Carrington brings home a lover and they suddenly find themselves caught in a bizarre love triangle. As conflicting passions heat to boiling point, will true love triumph or will Carrington lose her one and only soul mate forever?

Based on the book Lytton Strachey by Michael Holroyd, together with the two leads, the film features a host of established and respected British actors, such as Rufus Sewell, Samuel West and Penelope Wilton.

Jeremy plays Beacus Penrose, one of Dora Carrington’s lovers.
