DEAN SPANLEY
A funny, intelligent and delightful adult fairytale set in Edwardian England, Dean Spanley will be unlike anything else that you’ve seen. Peter O’Toole delivers a mesmerising performance as a misanthropic curmudgeon who cannot come to terms with his elder son’s death, and has little time or affection for his younger son, played by Jeremy. But when the pair visit an eccentric mystic, they start a strange journey that eventually allows the old man to find his heart.
Dean Spanley is a truly magical film with fine acting from its exceptional cast, which includes Jeremy’s The Tudors co-stars, Peter O’Toole and Sam Neill, alongside Bryan Brown and Judy Parfitt.
