Voices from a Locked Room is film that perfectly showcases Jeremy’s acting range. In 1930s London, Peter Warlock’s musical compositions are a delight to everyone except Philip Heseltine, the local music critic. Peter sends letters of protest and soon threatens the stubborn critic’s life, but Philip refuses to stop writing his scathing reviews. One night, Philip meets the charming and beautiful chanteuse Lily Buxton and falls passionately in love with her. But when Lily confronts Peter to warn him against harming Philip, she realizes she is in the midst of a bizarre struggle that could deadly for all three of them.
Based on a true story, Voices from a Locked Room features exceptional performances from Jeremy and his co-star Tushka Bergen, who was also his co-star in the Dead Man’s Mirror episode of Poirot. This dark and compelling psychological thriller explores the territory between love, genius and madness.
